In Great Yanagawa Valley, Nature's quiet fills the soul, A time of calm, Body and mind at peace.

Welcome to Deguchiya
This building was built in 1905, the year the Russo-Japanese War ended, and has quietly watched over people's lives ever since.
Sitting on the tatami mat and looking out the window at the scenery makes you feel as if you have traveled back in time.
In winter, we recommend sitting around the wood stove and enjoying meals made with local ingredients.
The time you spend at Deguchiya will surely be an unforgettable memory.
Totani is located in the southern part of Yamanashi Prefecture. In this rural area that coexists with nature, including the Oyanagawa Valley, Deguchiya is a building that has been watching over the changing times since 1905.
We were impressed by the strong traces of the past that remain, and renovated it into an old-style house with the desire to preserve it for the next generation. While treasuring the "goodness" and "uniqueness" of a Japanese house, we paid attention to every detail to ensure that everyone can have a comfortable stay. Feel the warmth of Japan, experience history and culture, and be soothed by nature. Please enjoy your time here.
Greetings

Room
The earthen floor, over 16 tatami mats in size, remains the same as when the inn was first built. The breeze blowing through the tatami mat space in front of it feels like a sign that the journey is about to begin.
At the end of the spiral that leads to the second floor, a glamorous, modern hotel-like space awaits, a stark contrast to the tranquil Japanese atmosphere.
Here you can experience a moment of tranquility that you can't experience in the city.
